The HP Agreement has just expired, and Queensland Health has shown it has no plan for a new agreement other than a subpar wage increase and an attempt to strip back hard-won conditions.
So far, in negotiations for a new agreement for Health Professionals all we have heard from Queensland Health is:
- A wage increase offer of 2.5% that does not keep up with the increased cost of living;
- No agreement by Queensland Health to any of the ideas put forward in union delegates’ log of claims;
- A proposed cut in rural and remote incentives for Category A workplaces, meaning these HPs will lose $60/week;
- A new barrier to make it harder for HPs to progress past HP 3.2 level;
- The loss of a week’s annual leave for radiographers and physicists.
